More From MEGGS

Posted by 10 on

Meggs is one of those guys who just doesn't stop. Only a month ago we shared with you some of his new works including the Richmond Mural Project, in Virginia, the Iron Pueo wall he completed with BASK and his work at Analogue Conference, and now we're back with a load of new stuff from the red-headed mural master. We hope you don't mind us sharing more of his work so soon, we just couldn't resist. He's been travelling in Mexico making things happen, running new prints, and also knuckling down in his Los Angeles studio putting work together for his solo show coming up in Detroit. Check it out! And if you need an even more frequent fix of Meggs madness, check out his blog and Instagram page at @houseofmeggs

PANGEASEED X RESIDENCIA GORILA X 1XRUN: MURALS FOR OCEANS, MEXICO EDITION IN ISLA MUJERES

Meggs had the privilege of being a featured artist for the new ground-breaking street art project, Sea Walls: Murals for Oceans - Mexico Edition, presented by PangeaSeed in collaboration with 1xRUN, Residencia Gorila, World Art Destinations, and Juxtapoz Latin America. He travelled to Isla Mujeres in Mexico and got to work on an activist-oriented mural and swum alongside whale sharks to raise awareness for ocean conservation for species threatened with extinction off the Yucatan Peninsula. What an experience that would be. Other artists who joined Meggs in Isla Mujeres included Curiot, Saner, Nosego, Shark Toof, Tristan Eaton, Celeste Byers, Cinzah Merkens, Tatiana Suarez, Hannah Stouffer, Smithe, Aaron Glasson, Yoh Nagao, Vexta, and Pelucas. One incredible line up.

For more details on the event, check out PangeaSeed Seawalls: Murals for Oceans, Mexico Expedition. To support the cause and see all the available prints, check out 1xRUN's website.

Mgs4STUDIO PREVIEW

Just in case he hadn't been busy enough, Meggs is now back in his Los Angeles studio working on a number of commissions and pieces for his upcoming show at Inner State Gallery in Detroit on September 20. We've got a couple of sneaky progress shots (spot the Water Based creeping in there), but more details will come in time. We'll be sure to keep you in the loop with Meggs' coming adventures, so stay tuned folks! Mgs5 Mgs6   [catalog-product slug="mtn-water-based-300"]
