Last night The Stencil Art Prize for 2014 came to a point with the exhibition at aMBUSH Gallery in Waterloo, Sydney. The event brought together an array of artists who specialise in the stencil medium from around the world, with some incredible pieces finding themselves among the finalists hung at the exhibition. The pieces will be on display until the 19th of October, so be sure to head down to aMBUSH before them and take a look for yourself!
The $3000 cash prize and title of Stencil Art Prize winner went to artist Jessica Kease (AKA 23rd Key) from Melbourne, with her piece titled 'Duality' featuring The Living End's front man, Chris Cheney. The $500 MTN Australia voucher and Encouragement Award went to Mark Callaghan for his piece titled 'Vanessa' (pictured two below).
The event was a huge success, and will no doubt be back next year bringing together some of the finest stencil artists from around Australia and the world.
